CARPARK SCI-FI (Gav Cowley) joined the Cleveland based record label Blue Arrow Records in 2023. The label is home to a roster of songwriters including California based Jesse DeNatale and Jonathan Richman (Modern Lovers). Since joining the label he has released 18 songs between his debut EP ‘THIS IS’, last Years LP ‘SMALL STORIES’ and a bandcamp only 7”

CARPARK SCI-FI’s new 6-track EP ‘THE HUNDRED HALVES’ sees Gav Cowley continue on his songwriting and visual art journey, processing sudden loss, the passing of time, secrets, forks in the road, and the strange mix of the unexpected and acceptance that life brings.

True to form, his wry lyrical style and playful bounce infuse the record with a weird wonder rather than sadness. These songs were recorded in a short space of time, working quickly, free-styling lyrics and capturing the energy of the song-writing process as it happened.
