Bullpen

Indie // Dublin, Dublin

Dublin indie rock group Bullpen first entered the Irish scene four years ago as The Malefactors, started by secondary school friends Lucille O'Mahony and Wren Colville. They have since rebranded as Bullpen, and are now joined by guitarist Zalán Kovács and bassist Sean Crehan to make up a four-piece band.
During this time, they have played across Dublin, including a sold-out headliner at the Grand Social, the inaugural Based Festival, and Whelan's Ones To Watch. They have also shared the stage with acts like Florence Road and Last Apollo, and were named as one of Hot Press' Hot for 2024 Irish Acts.

Their debut single as Bullpen, Soap, released in September 2024, accompanied by a music video, followed by their second single, Known, in January 2025. Known was followed by a music video, which screened at First Cut! Youth Film Festival in March 2026. Bullpen have a strong following online and in the local scene, with more than 7K monthly listeners on Spotify and more than a million streams on their 2022 single Topless.

Their music is influenced by rock artists like Jeff Buckley and Wednesday, as well as folk artists like Adrianne Lenker, creating a signature blend of soulful indie rock.
