Build Trap

**Build Trap** started as a creative project of Stephen Curran, guitarist of *Cranky Face* (Galway) and *The Herd* (Canada).

Before emigrating to Canada in 2019, Stephen performed extensively with *Cranky Face*, including appearances at major Irish festivals such as *Body & Soul* and *Electric Picnic*. After moving home to Donegal in Summer 2025, *Build Trap* serves as a means of re-establishing roots in the Irish music scene.

Drawing inspiration from artists like *Pearl Jam, Jeff Buckley, Incubus, The Strokes, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, IDLES, Little Green Cars, David Bowie,* and *The Beatles*, *Build Trap* blends observational lyrics with a dynamic, guitar-driven sound.

The project made its debut with the single *A Fool’s Spring* in January 2025, setting the tone for what’s to come, with follow-up singles Lucid Living and Human Storage receiving airtime on local and independent stations around Ireland

Build Trap has now grown into a four piece outfit comprised of established Donegal Musicians.
