Breaking Sputnik

Breaking Sputnik is a fresh project by Alex T, a St. Petersburg-born musician who moved to Ireland in 2022. With a background in creating multiple music projects in Russia, Alex is now pushing boundaries with something entirely new.

Drawing inspiration from his infinite travels along the rugged west coast of Ireland, his music blends a mix of genres and influences, but can broadly be described as art punk. He fuses the raw energy of electric guitar noise with an intense curiosity for electronic music, incorporating synthesizers, drum machines, and unpolished, edgy vocal lines.
