Big Sleep

The Dublin-based group partly came together at school when drummer Matteo Poli came over from Italy on exchange to learn English and met Rónán Connolly in the music room. Aidan Gray and Naiara Clarke Lafuente others later joined after meeting through mutual friends in the city's live music scene. Their first gig together was an illegal show in a tunnel under the M50 motorway.

Since then Big Sleep have toured around Europe, selling out shows in London, Hamburg, Manchester, Berlin, Amsterdam and more. Blending rock and pop influences the Irish-Italian outfit takes influence from acts such as The Cure, Pixies, J.J. Cale, and Big Thief.

The past years have seen the band release their Stay Put Sunshine EP, earn Rising Artist status on 2FM, play major festivals including Electric Picnic and All Together Now, sell out Dublin’s Button Factory and 800-cap The Academy, and make their national TV debut on Fanning at Whelan’s.

With their debut album, ‘Holy Show’ released in February 2026 with LAB Records, Big Sleep cement themselves as one of Ireland’s most exciting new exports.
