The Balcony Sunrise plan is simple: soundtrack your daydreams.

Balcony Sunrise is a Belfast-based electronic project blending nostalgic synths, cinematic soundscapes and live guitar with euphoric club rhythms - music that captures the feeling of late-night drives, golden hours and open-air festival energy.

The music is written, produced and performed by multi-instrumentalist and producer David Ferris, with creative contributions from family collaborators - his brother Steve and their father.

Since launching in 2021, Balcony Sunrise has amassed over 8.5 million streams, with standout tracks including Golden Hour and LET’S GO. The latter has recently become a viral soundtrack across social media, appearing in over 50k Instagram reels shared by global sports brands, fitness creators and entertainment figures - examples include Leicester City, Formula E and The Golden Globes.

Balcony Sunrise has received editorial support on Spotify’s Retrowave Outrun playlist alongside artists such as Kavinsky, The Midnight and Deadmau5, helping introduce the project’s synth-driven sound to a global audience.

The music has also secured sync placements with BBC One NI and Californian tech company PlanetScale, while earning coverage from Hot Press, Belfast Telegraph, XS Noise, Golden Plec and Chordblossom, alongside radio support from 8RadioIreland and Cool FM.

Balcony Sunrise is becoming a regular on the Irish festival circuit, having performed at Beyond the Pale, Stendhal, If You Know You Know and Saltwater Festival in 2025, with bookings confirmed for Beyond the Pale and Saltwater Festival in 2026. On stage, Balcony Sunrise sets unfold as a gradual sonic journey - beginning with dreamy, cinematic low-BPM soundscapes before steadily building in tempo and energy, driven by Ferris’s signature guitar solos over pulsating electronic beats.

With three new singles arriving in spring 2026 - including Open Air, After Hours, and a collaboration with Dutch producer Dallic titled Midnight Drive - Balcony Sunrise continues to push its cinematic electronic sound further onto dancefloors and festival stages.
