Asophonics

Asophonics are an Irish folk/rock fusion act fronted by Aaron Thompson and Sophia Jones, blending intricate open-tuned guitar work with rich, dynamic vocal harmonies. Their sound balances intimate songwriting with expansive indie textures, exploring themes of love, loss, and the complexities of modern politics, delivering raw emotional depth with every song.

Since their debut, the duo have built steady momentum across the Irish music scene. Their releases have gained traction nationally and internationally, alongside consistent regional radio support including KCLR (where they were named Track of the Week), Midlands 103 and Carlow FM. They have also received multiple features in Hot Press.

Live highlights include a sold-out debut headline show, performances at Vantastival 2025 and the International Pan Celtic Festival, and support slots for TOUCAN. They were also finalists in Hot Press 2024 Local Hero, and have headlined Carlow Live & Local 2025.
