Aryel Moon is an alternative rock project with grungy and punk influences led by Donatella Camedda. Originally from Italy and now based in Dublin, she and her band are establishing themselves in Ireland’s vibrant indie and alternative music scene.
Immersed in music since her teenage years, Donatella has been writing and performing as the frontwoman of rock bands in Italy. While music has always been her anchor, moving to Ireland marked a new chapter in her artistic evolution. Her style bridges the raw energy of '90s rock with a contemporary sound, blending melancholic melodies with uplifting lyrics. With a mix of acoustic and electric elements, steady rhythms, and a velvety voice, her music lingers in the ears, heart, and soul of listeners.
Aryel Moon draws inspiration from female artists like PJ Harvey, St. Vincent, and Kim Gordon, as well as women-led bands such as Hole, L7, The Cranberries, Dream Wife, Sprints, and Gush.
Aryel Moon was featured on Shannonside FM, Dublin South FM, LCR FM, performed at Balbriggan Pride 2024, and is lined up for 2025. More recently, Aryel Moon has been playing nationally at Sin É Dublin, Toale’s Dundalk, and the band is setting up more shows in the coming months.
Aryel Moon is at the forefront of Ireland’s grunge revival, bringing fierce female energy and riot grrrl rawness to a scene ready for its next reckoning.
