Aoibheann

Galway-born, Berlin-based indie-pop/singer-songwriter Aoibheann has been writing music since sixteen, quietly developing her style from the comfort of her bedroom. Now stepping out from behind that door, she’s beginning to share her honest, transparent songwriting more openly.

Her debut DIY EP Emotional Goo, recorded in her living room, is a snapshot of the messy yet wonderful learnings of her early twenties. Each track is rooted in real experiences from low self-esteem to fake friendships, written as a way of saying things she didn’t always know how to say out loud. The project reflects a growing sense of honesty, both in her music and in herself.

Inspired by the storytelling of Orla Gartland and the emotional directness of Olivia Rodrigo, Aoibheann’s sound sits between indie-pop and bedroom pop, pairing simple melodies with honest, unfiltered lyrics.

After recently leaving the 9–5 behind, she is now focusing on her music and creativity, writing more, playing more, and leaning into this new chapter
