Anamoe Drive is the solo moniker of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Oisín Leahy Furlong (best known as the frontman of Dublin psych-rock six-piece THUMPER). Born out of a reverence for lo-fi and intimate home recordings, but ultimately ending up as an expansive alt-folk project in the vein of Sparklehorse, Big Thief, Bright Eyes or The Microphones - Anamoe Drive attempts to be both at once.

While touring North America in Elizabeth Moen's band in early 2020 the first single Goodbye & Goodluck was released. In Ireland it received extensive radio play on 2fm, 98fm and Nova FM, and was made Song
of the Month in the print edition of HotPress.
In August 2021 work began on the debut album entitled Breakfast in Bed with producer Rian Trench (Saint Sister, J. Colleran, Ye Vagabonds, We Cut Corners). Taking turns either behind the desk or flitting between the many instruments that were set up and ready to track at all times, the album was all but completed in 4 days (and nights). The song Procrastination was released in December 2021, along with the announcement of the first Anamoe Drive show in Workmans Club Dublin which sold out in advance.
In 2022 a washed out Flaming Lips-esque cover of On Raglan Road was released for The Irish Songbook mixtape on Faction Records, alongside Maria Kelly, Martin Hayes and MayKay. Later that year in between extensive THUMPER touring commitments the Anamoe Drive 5-piece band managed to slot in some festival appearances at All Together Now, Kaleidoscope Festival, Electric Picnic and Other Voices, and the album was completed.
