Alan Donnelly

Alan is a solo artist that hails from Limerick City but lives in Wexford with wife and two kids. With a background in music having picked up the guitar at 15, Alan cut his cloth playing in bands and later creating musical compositions for advertising, film and video games. Having worked with the likes of Coca-Cola, Monster Energy and many others to help bring their vision to life through music, work slowed down during the Pandemic so in 2020 Alan decided to start a solo project, an EP called “Session One.”

Session One is a four track EP with a mixture of haunting melodies and dark lyrics with a couple of more playful, tongue-in-cheek tracks to break up the tone of the EP. Session One was very well received critically and was playlisted multiple times on Spotify leading to over 10k listens to date. The idea behind Session One was to follow up with two more EPs, ultimately leading to an album called “The Shadows.” While both these EPs are still on the cards Alan work and family commitments have shelved these slightly but they are in the pipeline!

Since the release of "Session One" Alan has released another single called "Always Near" in 2025 and the seond ep is due to release in 2026.
