Artist Bio
The Stonecold Hobo (Martin Cummins) is a slide blues player from Drogheda, Co Louth.
He plays a ‘Newbridge cutlery box’ guitar which he designed and built based on the 'cigar box' guitars currently undergoing a revival in the US.
Described as a ‘slide guitar wizard’.(Wexford Echo, Sept 2014), his sound is reminiscent of delta blues players from early 20th Century but with a modern, electric twist.
His songs have playlisted on Radio Nova's 'Off The Record' with Pat James, Dublin City FM's 'After Midnight' with Noel Casey, LMFM's Clár Smidiríní Show with Áine Ní Chaibhre and various UK and international blues radio stations.
His live show features original material and re-interpretations of old blues standards.
