Throughout 2023, david ofmg has showcased his unique blend of ambient shoegaze, driving alternative rock and catchy dream pop melodies to create a unique musical experience. From supporting bands such as “modernlove.” on their debut UK and Ireland tour to playing a multitude of sold out shows around the Dublin music scene, david ofmg has cemented himself as a name within the Irish music industry.

Hailing originally from Arklow, Co. Wicklow, david ofmg takes inspiration from a wide variety of musical sources. From emo to dream pop to shoegaze, he has crafted a sound that is both ambient, yet catchy, with a strong emotional undercurrent. The soundscapes he creates allow the listener to lose themselves within the world of the music. This is paired with vulnerable and often quite intense lyrics, dealing with issues of mental health, self reflexivity and trauma.

david ofmg released his debut EP “for what it’s worth” in June of 2023 which has accumulated over 120,000 streams and was covered by media outlets such as Hot Press Magazine, Nialler9, Right Chord Music, PureMzine, thebeat.ie and Independent.ie.

The EP also got substantial radio play with multiple appearances on Jenny Greene's “The Green Room” on RTE 2FM. Other radio stations include iRadio, Amazing Radio UK and Sirius XM. david ofmg is kicked off 2024 with the release of "early in the afternoon" alongside a successful debut headline show in London in January. He plans to follow this up with plenty more music and shows to come for 2024.
