2009 has been the hardest year in Tidal District's existence. 2008 was spent scrambling around Ireland playing every little venue the country has to offer, generating immediate buzz with a debut EP, "...equal parts cathartic and hypnotic, and always thrilling" (All music guide on 'Hold the Party Line EP) shooting music video's, being invited to play HWCH08, Castlepalooza and Electric Picnic and ending the year with a sold out show in Camden's Dublin Castle.

But despite regular call ups from MCD and eager promoters across the country in 2009, shooting a new video for and releasing the single, 'Don't Turn your Back on the Bear', "...Feast your ears on this Dublin group’s smashing, happy wonky pop…' Jim Carroll (The Irish Times) they constantly find themselves pulled away from live shows, knowing that they must keep the material flowing.

They're back to their home-built studio in Dublin to record a follow up EP and demos for the eagerly awaited debut album.

Bigger and better, the new material and a formidable tour booked for later this year, promise to firmly cement them as one of Ireland's brightest prospects. Perenial contenders on the new Irish music front & constantly evolving, this band wants to keep moving forward and never let up. Bursting to get back out on the road, this Dublin quintet have an electric live show not to be missed.
