Elm are a five piece band from Dublin with a dark earthy quality to their music, which has been described as Alternative Baroque Pop. Diligent & emotive, Elm will carry you through quiet reflective moments then weave you in with immersive sound and lyrics. They produce music that 'finds a perfect middle ground between intimate and cinematic' (Dublin Concerts.ie). Frontman Dylan Walsh holds the audience captive with passion, poignancy and depth. His haunting vocal is accompanied by a provoking musical backdrop of atmospheric guitar, cello, synth and drums. Elm's sound is a personal experience to their fans, lending each listener a unique relationship to the band.
Elm's single 'Amends' was met with a warm appraisal, newspapers and radio stations alike, most notably BBC Radio, The Irish Times, Hot Press, Across The Line, Joe.ie, Lovintrends and more. After playing to an attentive crowd in a packed out venue at the renowned Other Voices festival in Dingle, Elm decided to join forces with Irish DJ Daithí, and create a brainchild in the form of an Amends Remix, which was premiered by Louise McSharry on 2fm in February. Elm made their way across the Atlantic to perform in Toronto at Canadian Music Week in May and also played in London's famous Notting Hill Arts Club just after returning from Toronto.
'Concentrate', Elm's second single and video was released at the end of May and gained worldwide publicity through all social media platforms, receiving over ten thousand views within a week of the singles release. Elm are currently making their way through the Irish festival circuit, including Body & Soul, Indiependence, Electric Picnic and are also headlining Dublin's Gay Pride festival.
