Mark Mccausland and Oisin Leech met in 2001 while playing a residency at a whiskey bar in liverpool called woodys.
Since then they have been friends shooting pool and making creepy films until the winter of 2007 came along and they decided to start a band.The Lost Brothers were born.

Taking their name from a Townes Van Zandt song called Mr Mudd and Mr Gold ("you feel like lost,you'll end up found"), the Lost Brothers flew to Portland Oregon to record with M ward producers Adam Selzer and Mike Coykendall.
The album recieved critical accliam from the like of NME.
"The brothers spin yarns of lost loves and forests in such a spellbinding way that you can almost see the scary shadows flickering in the fire"(NME 8/10).
Since 2007 the band have appeared on the BBC culture show, RTE's Other Voices and they have toured with artists such as Richard Hawley,Jolie Holland and M Ward.
The band have started work on their next LP in Portland and are due to finish the record in sheffield in the Spring of 2010.
