The Coonics, whose music has been described as “devotional, inspirational and a small biteen naughty”, are a four-piece Indie band from Tuam, Ireland. Since their first gigs in August 2008 the band have established themselves as one of the brightest new groups. The Coonics have made their debut release a 5-track E.P. which has been met with glowing reviews and was chosen by Jackie Hayden as his Pick of The Fortnight in Hotpress.
Their song Skinny Jeans, has received extensive national airplay and Ian Dempsey labelled them one of his "favourite up and coming bands".

The Coonics have just returned from the UK having toured with The Sawdoctors over 14 dates. They have also shared the stage with the likes of The Flaws, Mundy, Hayseed Dixie, and The Chakras.
The Coonics were JD Set Ireland 2010 finalists and have done in-studio sessions on 2fm.
