The Amazing Few
Dublin, County Dublin
The Amazing Few are 10-12 piece band who play Phsyco-Pop, a unique style of music that leans heavenly on Ska, Pop, Punk and Theatrics in music. The Amazing few formed in 2008 when Keiron (singer) met Sorcha (singer) and then met Dan (guitar) who then met Niall (bass) who pulled John(guitar) in and then he made Ger (guitar) join up and then they met Laoighse (Trumpet), who’s friends Catriona ( Trombone) and Davis ( Saxophone) jumped on the ship. The collective then grew with additions of Seamus, (mad science) Bob, (visuals) and Maria (stunt woman) and she found a guy with a mohawk and made him join up on percussion. The newest member Linda just walked in one day and said she was in the band. There is a rumor that Laoighse’s little sister is joining the band as another sax player/singer /keys…
The band write songs about everyday situations, bank robberies gone right, love lost, loved gained, people run over by vans on highway 89a, Bruce Lee, and anything that moves
The band’s wildly different, excitable songwriting has been compared to The B-52′s,The Clash, Presidents of the United States of America, Frank Zappa, Pavement, Frank Black and The Mouldy Peaches.
We have supported or shared the stage with: I’m from Barcelona, Adam Green, The Presidents of the United States of America,Har Mar Superstar,Mundy, Alex Zane, Ham Sandwich, The Pale, The Aftermath, Jape, Nick Cave and many more….
We love playing our songs and we hope they drive you into delectable distractions of delight.Leave a comment or email us…. We like saying hi!

"You guys really make it a better morning"
Alex Zane
“These guys are a true indie band. Not doing it for money, fame or anything other than the love of playing music. They’ve been doing the rounds around Ireland for years now, and have moved up in the world playing cool festivals around Europe. If they’re ever playing near you, go see them. It’s a real spectacle to see live”
Pretentious indie boys
“…this set was dramatic and vastly entertaining, their stage presence was performative, visual, spectacular, and full of those cool mood-enhancing ska-like brass outbursts” – Claire Rushe Connected Magazine
“Imagine the Juno soundtrack gone wild, heaps of people crammed onto a stage, brass instruments mixed with guitars and drums, a narrator and a vocalist, all in a barrage of balloons, silly string, card tricks and plain ole, uninhibited fun. This is The Amazing Few, and they are a wonderfully weird and wacky, Dublin–based delight.” – Eimear Duignan, Note media
