"It was one day on my way home from school that I decided I needed to start writing my own songs. I had heard Sam Baker's "Broken Fingers" on the car radio and it was so personal and beautiful that I felt almost compelled to write something of my own." Tara Kennedy is a 18 year old singer songwriter from Cavan. She has been performing on the Cavan music scene for 2 years and she has been writing her own material for 4 years.

She has played the Flat Lake Festival in Scotshouse in Monaghan and has also played in The Cafe Sessions in Chapter One in Cavan. She has played support for C. O'Neill and Co, Cocophone, Winter King and performed in the Gonzo Theatre and the Ramor Theatre in Cavan. She was featured on the Each Small Candle charity CD for SOSAD and is currently working on her debut EP which will hopefully be released late Summer.
