Fronted by the 2010 Singer/Songwriter of the year (Ards International Guitar festival), Tanya Strowger, Tanya and The Whiskey Princes are a lively, happy band of likeminded musicians wanting to make people laugh and cry and dance while having a ball themselves. Their music has been pigeon-holed as Power Folk, and at a gig you'll experience a range of sounds from simple one guitar/one voice ballads, through banjo framed folk-pop ditties, straight into rockin wah solo'd numbers. The band got together in late 2009 and worked hard melding their varying styles and experiences, blending their harmonies and instruments, and finding the right sounds to frame Tanya's beautifully crafted songs and attempt to give them wings. Their debut album, 'One More Time For Fluffy And The Blue Jays' was released last year on Lisburn label, Rubidium Records, and they continue to play the circuit and love every minute.
