After picking up the guitar at age 11 and composing songs from the age of 13 Jennifer played in various groups through her teenage years and early twenties and the styles of each ranged from hard rock to minimalist folk. To compliment her original sound, Evans enlisted the talent of some of Newpark Jazz Schools’ finest and they collectively perform and record.
Ardent emotional experiences and daunting but lush perceptions of being feed the ep, ‘Salient Point’, which was recorded and mixed by Stellarsounds’ Steven Lynch. Evans’ vocals are soulful and lyrically unique in origin. The music is alternative in genre but also finds it’s roots in Jazz, Dark Folk and Blues.
Performances to date include The Electric Picnic, The Fringe Festival, The National Concert Hall's John Field Room, Whelans, Doyles’ Ruby Sessions, Bewleys’ Cafè Theatre and more.

Collaborations have varied from the beats and grooves of Messiah J & The Expert to Rhob Cunningham’s beautiful song writing mastery.

Jennifer Evans will be releasing the ep 'Salient Point' in March this year and will continue to perform throughout the country.

'Beautifully spooked noir-folk from the Dublin singer and her band The Ripe Intent. Way To Go is a tune fans of Joanna Newsom, Evie Sands and Linda Perhacs will be raving about.'

Jim Carroll, Irish Times

'Evans has a seductively warm voice and the ability to craft serious songs to match.'
