James Keegan

Singer-songwriter // Cork City, Cork

At just 22, Cork born folk-rock artist James Keegan is rapidly becoming one of Ireland’s most compelling young voices. Blending the warmth of folk with the energy of indie-rock, his soulful vocals and honest songwriting have already earned him four No.1 singles on the Irish iTunes Charts, alongside praise from Live Nation, Hot Press Magazine, EARMILK and Notion.

2025 has been a breakthrough year, with James bringing his music to audiences worldwide, performing in over 16 countries around the world spanning across Europe, Scandinavia, and the United States. His magnetic live presence has taken him to perform in over 30 states across the US, touring with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Geoff Tate and Cork-born troubadour Tomás McCarthy, playing renowned venues such as the House of Blues in New Orleans, Ruth Eckerd Hall in Florida, and the Aztec Theatre in Texas.

With his debut EP “Teaching Our Teachers”, James emerges as a voice that refuses to be confined by gentle boundaries. Produced by Christian Best (Monique Studios) and featuring members of Mick Flannery’s band (Oh Boy Records/John Prine’s label), the project highlights Keegan’s depth as both a songwriter and performer. His voice, husky yet tender, carries a raw emotional weight that connects powerfully with audiences.

With an expanding international presence, several No.1 singles on the Irish iTunes Charts, and a debut EP that demonstrates both artistic depth and clarity of vision, James Keegan is methodically building a solid foundation as an independent artist. Through ongoing tours, new releases, and global audience engagement, he is steadily establishing himself as a distinctive and reliable voice within the contemporary folk and indie-rock genres.
