Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters are a modern band with an old soul. Producing a trend shaking, majestic deep growl, which swaggers from the terrific to the sublime. A band that usually err on the side of darkness, but always keeping it sweet and melodic with an honest collection of dark pop songs. Critics praising them as "True hidden gems", "A seductively gloomy sound in a league of it’s own ... will both mystify and satisfy” (State.ie).
Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters are pretty much a well oiled machine by this stage. Since releasing their critically acclaimed debut album 'The Devil In Music', FJBH played close to 100 shows within 24 months, across Ireland, the UK & Canada. With many festival appearances including Indie Week (Toronto), Glasgowbury Festival, Vantastival, Arthur's Day, Knockanstockan and even being added to the Main Stage at Indiependence Festival to share the boards with the like of Ash, Editors & Therapy?. Going from strength to strength, featuring on a Becks Vier TV advertising campaigns, a flip cover of Hotpress, and receiving an 'Album Of The Year' Award from a UK website.
Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters are currently adding the final touches to their sophomore album, recorded with producer Dave 'Skippy' Christophers (Josh Ritter, Whipping Boy, Mundy) & engineer Owen Lewis (Flogging Molly, Snow Patrol, REM).
Expect their new single release mid/late 2013.

“(The Devil In Music) A serious contender for album of the year!”
- Alan Jacques LIVE 95FM
"a record that's diabolically good in many respects ... its complexity ensures that it is most certainly an opus that rewards the listener ... clearly the devil really does have all the best tunes"
"The music has a deep growl, and dirty backdrop and you can almost imagine the wildness and humidity of New Orleans, and the polarised and confused religious fundamentalism being drowned out by the Devil’s best tunes ... From start to finish, the album oozes quality"
“True hidden gems ... seductively gloomy sound in a league of it’s own ... will both mystify and satisfy”
"An Utterly Powerful & Enthralling Listen"
- LIMERICK EVENT GUIDE
"Blood-Boiling Brilliance ... Majestic"
- AU MAGAZINE
"Very sly, slick and mischievous ... A band you NEED to check out!"
- UNDERCLASSED IDLE IDEAS
"Jaw dropping ... a resonant, haunting, melancholy sound ... seducing audiences to be led into temptation ... FJBH are professional, well-honed and resonant, with the ability to combine elements from a plethora of musical influences. A modern band with an old soul they have the potential to carve out a long term presence beyond their domestic success in Ireland. All in all, a band with bite."
"Gloom rock it may be, but damn it is addictive … enchanting and mysterious ... quite unlike anything else out there at the moment ... the future looks very bright for FJBH."
"(The Devil In Music) Arguably the best Irish debut of the year"
- THE WHITEBOARD PROJECT
"They’re dark and gruesome but still leave you panting for more"
"An unstoppable force ... they have some ingredient in their music that just won't let go once it grips you"
“Fab distorted guitar riffs and horror harmonies… Love it!”
- IRISH NEWS OF THE WORLD
"a seductive musical feast, you can imagine the devil dancing about, weaving his mischievous way around each track, beckoning the listener to the dark side … A captivating listen, their deeply atmospheric music has the ability to conjure up the wildest imagery, taking the listening experience that extra mile"
"This band seriously knows how to rock … Lead vocalist Ronan Mitchell has one of the best voices I’ve heard this year."
"Hauling ass like Queens Of The Stone Age jamming with Interpol ... a demonstration of the contrast between styles, that makes FJBH a hard band to quantify or label. One minute rocking hard, next minute it’s all slide guitars and bluegrass drawl."
- CHEW YOUR OWN FAT
"It’s really, really good. It’s raw and clear and rich and powerful – bluesey rock with a distinct Irish twang."
"...dealing in seductive retro-tinged rock and roll, like Richard Hawley fronting QOTSA... Nice."
- BBC / ACROSS THE LINE (Glasgowbury 2012 Review)
