"You can't help but move!" - Carol Dooley, Radio Nova
Since being given the front page spread in the Music Review Unsigned magazine and selected as Unsigned Artist of the month in November 2011, Dem Fools have been on a quest to deliver stronger performances at every show and build a foundation around which they can grow and develop their unique sound.
Acclaimed live performances at numerous Dublin venues have drawn invitations to perform at many small festivals and venues countrywide, including Sibin, Le Cheile, the Radharc festival, the Soul Festival and the Carlow Arts festival to name a few. This culminated in the band being invited to play on the world famous Salty Dog Stage at Electric Picnic 2012.
A Salty ship-mate, one Jerry Fish and his mighty Skeleton Crew, also invited Dem Fools to share a stage at the Workman's Club and following this "emotional" showcase, their debut single "Segue" was released on December 10th, having recently signed to Irish label Ruby Music. (www.rubymusic.ie)
Two weeks later Dem Fools won the best Ska/Reggae/Alternative gong at the first ever Music Review Unsigned awards.
