Casino Nova is John Hughes. A singer / songwriter from Dublin , Ireland.
John's most notable influences are : New Order , The Verve , Brian Eno , Neil Young , The Beatles , Echo and The Bunnymen and R.E.M. .
Hughes started playing bass in bands about 11 years ago . About three and a half years ago he then moved onto solo work by composing Ambient instrumentals. In early 2010 the first E.P "Casino Nova" was released with three instrumental tracks on it. Frank Kearns of Cactus World News played guitar on all three.
In July 2010 John started writing songs and singing them acoustically live in the following October.
