Beauty Sleep

Alternative // BELFAST, Antrim

Radical art-pop sweethearts Beauty Sleep are producer and songwriting duo Cheylene and Ryan. The Derry band create a boojie buffet of the most bewitching synths and bombastic guitars that are guaranteed to make you blush. These partners in crime released their debut album ‘Be Kind' in 2019 which seen them shortlisted for Best Album at the Northern Irish Music Prize and garner national radio support from BBC Radio One, 6Music, and RTE2fm. Their dreamy soundscapes and dizzying songwriting have drawn comparisons to Phoenix, Tame Impala and Orange Juice.

Beauty Sleep’s riotous pre-pandemic summer seen them rampage through European festivals such as The Great Escape, Electric Picnic and Other Voices. Invited to SXSW digital in 2021, and SXSW in real life in 2022, Beauty Sleep released two exciting new singles amongst the touring chaos - The lush and personal ‘I Love It Here I Hate It’ and the giddy, synth wobbling, anthemic ‘Go’ - which was shortlisted for best single at the NI Music Prize 2022. After receiving PRS Foundation & Help Musician Funding to support the recording of their much hyped sophomore record in 2022, Beauty Sleep has been locked away. Due to release music starting April 26th 2024, Beauty Sleep’s future is sure to soar in tandem with their starry eyed music.
